The kidoom 39-stitch offer is not automatically a large functional upgrade over the 16-stitch machine. The useful question is which stitch shapes and settings the two exact charts provide. Owners of the 39 offer describe its count in different ways, including grouped variations; that makes a chart comparison more informative than dividing 39 by 16.

What the 16-stitch accounts actually add
Some selected owners find the machine useful for small projects, while others struggle with instructions and locating the selector marks. One describes successful sewing after identifying the correct numbered position. That is a practical reason to inspect the markings and threading demonstration before buying for a new learner.
A report that single-needle sewing worked while twin needles broke is not evidence that every unit has that problem. It does show why the twin-needle feature should not be treated as a free extra requiring no setup knowledge. Needle compatibility, thread paths and the permitted stitch setting must come from the exact instructions.
Owners also differ on pace: one finds the machine fast, another experienced user finds it slow. Neither impression is a substitute for watching its lowest usable speed with the intended operator. Check the switch and pedal relationship explicitly; a front switch position should not be assumed to isolate all operation.
When the 39 offer could be worthwhile
The larger advertised range matters if its chart contains a useful variation the 16 offer lacks and you can select it reliably. It adds little when the project uses one straight seam and an occasional edge pattern. A supplied account explains the total as groups of variations, but we have not independently established a universal count of unique stitch shapes from that description.
Working access deserves equal attention. Selected 39-offer owners mention a small pedal and an extension table that obstructs bobbin access. Check how the table detaches and where the bobbin is reached before arranging a large project on it. A support surface that has to be removed during setup is a workflow cost, even if it helps while sewing.
Stretch fabric is a trial, not a promise
One selected account reports good jersey results; another describes stretch fabric going under the plate. Fabric structure, needle, seam and setup are not controlled across these reports.
